Bio

After finishing her degree in neuropsychology, Merel Ellen decided to change direction and concentrate on the visual arts. Starting with interior architecture at art school, she gradually moved more and more towards painting and drawing. By now she works fulltime as an artist. Still studying human behavior, relationships and the environment, but now from a very different perspective.

Na het voltooien van haar studie neuropsychologie aan de UvA besloot Merel Ellen om van richting te veranderen en zich toe te leggen op beeldende kunst. Eerst richtte ze zich op toegepaste kunst (interieur architectuur aan de KABK te Den Haag), maar gaandeweg is ze steeds meer autonoom beeldend werk gaan maken. Inmiddels werkt ze fulltime als beeldend kunstenaar. Nog steeds bestudeerd ze menselijk gedrag en de omgeving, maar nu vanuit een heel ander oogpunt.
